WeCart Shipping & Delivery Policy 

At WeCart, we are committed to providing fast, safe, and reliable delivery to our customers. Please review our updated policy below, including delivery areas, dispatch time, alcohol ID requirements, and essential service terms.

WeCart Pickup Service (NEW)

We offer warehouse pickup for customers who prefer to collect their orders directly.

Pickup Availability

Monday to Friday | 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm only

This dedicated time window ensures customer safety, as our warehouse operates heavy vehicle movements outside these hours.

Next-Day Pickup Promise

At WeCart, we strive to give you the best shopping experience.
Most orders placed before our daily cut-off are eligible for next-business-day pickup.

You will be notified once your order is ready for collection.

Pickup Notification

Please wait for a Ready for Pickup email or SMS before arriving.
Arriving prior to notification may result in delays.

Pickup Location & Safety

Our warehouse is located within an industrial estate.

For your safety:

Follow all onsite instructions and signage

Park only in designated pickup areas

Do not enter loading zones or warehouse floors

Alcohol Products – Pickup Restriction

Due to regulations set by Liquor & Gaming NSW, orders containing alcoholic products are not eligible for warehouse pickup.

  • Alcohol products must be delivered via WeCart’s approved delivery methods

  • Pickup is not available for any order that includes alcohol, even if the rest of the order is eligible

  • Valid 18+ ID verification will be conducted at the time of delivery

This restriction ensures compliance with liquor licensing and responsible service requirements.

Frozen & Chilled Items

To maintain food safety:

Frozen and chilled items must be collected on the same day they are marked ready

Temperature-sensitive items cannot be held overnight

Uncollected Orders

Orders not collected within 3 business days may be cancelled or restocked for safety reasons.

1. Delivery Areas & Coverage

WeCart delivers to four major regions across NSW and ACT, each with its own delivery radius.

Sydney Region

  • 35km radius from Sydney CBD

  • Full delivery service, including frozen/chilled/perishable items

Wollongong Region

  • 30km radius

  • Dry goods only (no frozen/chilled/perishable items)

Newcastle Region

  • 50km radius

  • Dry goods only (no frozen/chilled/perishable items)

Canberra Region

  • 50km radius from Canberra CBD

  • Dry goods only (no frozen/chilled/perishable items)

2. Delivery Methods (Courier vs In-House)

Delivery method depends on the type of items ordered.

Dried Goods (Non-Perishable)

  • Delivered via courier service

  • Available in ALL THREE regions (Wollongong, Newcastle, Canberra)

  • Sydney CBD 35km will be delivered via WeCart's in-house delivery team

Frozen / Chilled / Perishable Items

  • Delivered via WeCart’s in-house delivery team

  • Ensures proper temperature control

  • ONLY available within the Sydney CBD 35km delivery area

  • Cannot be delivered to Wollongong, Newcastle, or Canberra due to quality and safety risks

Reason:
Temperature-controlled deliveries outside Sydney may compromise food safety, so these areas are restricted to dry goods only.

3. Processing & Dispatch Time

  • All orders are dispatched within 2 business days

  • Frozen/chilled orders ship based on the next available temperature-safe delivery slot

  • Dispatch may be affected during peak seasons or public holidays

4. Delivery Fees & Free Shipping Thresholds


Sydney Region (Within 35km of Sydney CBD)

  • FREE Delivery for orders $80+

  • $3.99 Delivery Fee for orders $50–$79.99

  • $7.99 Delivery Fee for orders under $50

Wollongong, Newcastle & Canberra Regions

(30km Wollongong / 50km Newcastle / 50km Canberra)

  • Flat Shipping Rate: $30

  • FREE Shipping for orders over $200

  • Dry goods only (no frozen/chilled/perishable items)

5. Alcohol Delivery & ID Verification (18+)
For orders containing alcoholic products, the following rules apply:

  • The recipient must be 18 years or older.

  • A valid photo ID is required upon delivery (Driver’s Licence, Passport, or Proof of Age Card).

  • Alcohol cannot be left unattended or safe-dropped.

  • If the recipient fails ID verification or is not present, the alcohol items will be returned to our warehouse for safety and compliance.

  • A $15 re-delivery fee will apply for a new delivery attempt.

This applies to both in-house delivery and courier handover where applicable.

6. Delivery Attempts & Safe Drop Policy
We will always try our best to complete your delivery. Driver will usually give a call before his arrival.

If the driver cannot locate your address:

  • We will attempt to contact you immediately.

If the recipient cannot be reached:

✔ For dried-only parcels
→ May be left in a safe location at the driver’s discretion.

❌ For frozen/chilled/perishable products
→ Cannot be safe-dropped.
→ Returned to warehouse for safety.
→ $15 re-delivery fee applies.

❌ For orders containing alcohol
→ Cannot be left unattended.
→ Must be handed to someone 18+.
→ If no one is available, return + $15 re-delivery applies.

7. Out-of-Stock Items & Refunds
If an item is unavailable:

  • We will contact you

  • A refund will be issued for the unavailable items

  • No automatic substitutions will be made

8. Reporting Issues
To allow us to resolve issues correctly:

  • All order issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, including

    • Missing items

    • Damaged goods

    • Incorrect products

    • Temperature issues (frozen/chilled)

    • Alcohol delivery or ID issues

    • Claims made after 24 hours may not be eligible.

9. Additional Notes

  • Delivery times may vary due to weather, traffic, or high-volume periods.

  • Frozen items are packed to maintain safe temperature until delivery.

  • By placing an order with WeCart, you agree to all terms in this policy.
